About Us
It started, as all things do, with an idea.

It was a small idea, an idea that some would call foolish, but it was an idea all the same. And once the seed was planted, it grew.
​
Before this idea, we were just normal 7th-grade kids with normal lives who had the ESPN app on our phones. Every day, we would open it, and we would glance at the headlines. Sometimes, we would read articles analyzing a certain sport, or a certain team. We were like sponges: we absorbed everything.

It happened one day, when we were Zooming, talking about our lives when one of us popped the idea out of our mouths.

"Wanna start a newspaper with me?"

It was easy to settle on sports as the newspaper's topic. We prided ourselves as self-made sports scholars, so we figured it wouldn't be hard to write articles.

We realized the one thing we needed was easy to read, but reliable, sports for kids.
​
And so, West Side Sports Report was born.
I’m Ike. I am Editor-in-Chief and Co-founder of West Side Sports Report. My favorite sports teams are the METS, Jets, Islanders and Tottenham FC. My favorite sports to play are baseball and fencing.
I’m Teddy. I am Editor and Staff Writer and Co-founder of West Side Sports Report. My favorite sport team is the Washington Football Team. My favorite sports to play are soccer and football.
